About ALAN
The
American Logistics Aid Network was formed to provide a coordinated
vehicle to channel resources from members of various professional
organizations to approved Relief Agencies that are providing relief
during a time of crisis. Initially, these efforts are being focused
on one-time crisis situations that occur in the United States, such
as hurricanes, floods and earthquakes.
In addition to providing logistics and supply chain resources,
ALAN also maintains a focus on the education and training of personnel
who may be involved in the logistics of aid provision and in providing
logistics consulting to approved agencies that provide relief during
those times of crisis.
There is no intent by ALAN or its members to replace any existing
contracts or relationships the relief groups have in place currently,
or in the future. Rather, the intent of ALAN and its members is
to supplement the efforts of the established, approved relief agencies.
